[Movie Review] Girls Trip

This weekend I went to go see the R-rated comedy film Girls Trip starring Queen Latifah, Regina Hall, Jada Pinkett-Smith, and Tiffany Haddish. The movie follows the four as they reunite for the first time in five years in New Orleans.

Let me tell you…

This was by far one of the funniest movies I’ve seen in ages! Not only was it very relatable to my group of friends but every joke and scene was so perfectly planned that it made the movie flow beautifully. I couldn’t have asked for a better cast to be quite honest. What I also loved is that each friend had a very unique personality and though they were different, each character meshed so well together; even the side characters blended their own color into the main cast.

Not only was it hilarious but it also made sure to incorporate the message of individual strength and the importance of friendship. It may sound corny or cliche but I can assure you that Girls Trip went about it in the best way. This is a movie that everyone can enjoy and laugh until their heart’s content. Overall, it was comedic genius.

I normally don’t go see movies twice but this is definitely one that I would make an exception for.
